WR sponsors a Child from Chernobyl

Directors Kevin and Linda are pleased to be actively involved in a new charity.

Markfield Friends of Chernobyl's Children is planning to bring a group of 12 children to stay in Leicestershire for one month in September 2008.

The young children will come from Belarussia an area that has been disastrously affected by radiation following the explosion of the nuclear plant at Chernobyl in 1986.

The children are in great need and come from social situations that make it difficult for them to get the care they require at home.

WR Directors Kevin and Linda have volunteered to act as a host family for a child and WR is pleased to be able to donate £450 to the charity to help meet associated costs.
